The Boys Are Back In Town

The Ballgirls are looking forward to this weekend’s Phillies Toyota Alumni Weekend, taking place during a series against the New York Mets. Every day from August 8-11, fans will have the opportunity to see former Phillies All-Stars and Wall of Famers, as well as receiving awesome giveaways! Be sure to stop by CBP and join in on the excitement!

Take a look at what a few of the Ballgirls are most excited about….

This weekend at Citizens Bank Park is Alumni Weekend. There are many different events going on throughout the day Friday through Sunday that we are all looking forward to. It will be nice to see all of the alumni come back to the park and see the current players interacting with them. I am very excited to see Charlie Manuel back on the field! He did a lot for Philadelphia when he was here and he deserves a night dedicated to him. Congrats Charlie! See you on Saturday!

This will be my first alumni weekend at CBP and I honestly can’t wait! I’ve grown up loving the Phillies and can’t wait to maybe run into Mike Liberthal or Pat Burrell around the stadium this weekend. I think alumni weekend is important because it brings around old time favorites and game day heroes to remind fans of seasons past. I think it could be particularly inspiring because I remember back in 2007 the Phillies came back from something like 7 and half games to win the division.  Let’s channel those good vibes.

Alumni Weekend is finally here, and I am eager to see all the players that have contributed to this organization’s prestigious and renowned reputation over the years.  I am most excited to see Tommy Greene, as he was the alumni that went with Taylor and I to my first ever appearance as a ballgirl, and I will never forget that! Also, Mike Schmidt is another player I am excited to see, even though we just saw him when Jimmy broke his Phillies’ all-time hit record! Alumni weekend is a nice reminder of the rich roots that baseball has, not only in Philadephia, but all over the United States as America’s past time.  To top it all off, I am the first baseline ballgirl for Sunday’s game! Go Phillies!

After wearing the commemorative ’64 jersey on Father’s Day to honor Jim Bunning’s perfect game 50 years ago and watching him throw out the first pitch, I am excited to see his return alumni weekend. It’s going to be great to see some of my favorite players back on the field as well as the atmosphere of the stadium Saturday night when Charlie Manuel is inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame. I am schedule to work the alumni luncheon as well as the third baseline for Sunday’s game.  To culminate the weekend I am working the alumni golf outing.

Way to go Mackenzie! As soon as I saw this FB post, I immediately recognized your beautiful pic from your dad’s office! Joel rocks! Best Doctor Ever! Congrats on what you’re doing in the community thru this program. If my oldest wasn’t living on campus at Penn State, I’d have her sign up to be a ball girl for sure! My grandfather used to be a Phillies scout back when Dallas Green managed the team… And my dad was a professional basketball referee who reffed Julius Irving, Wilt Chamberlain and many other greats of the NBA. My three daughters are all sports Phanatics and love their Philly teams! I guess you could say it’s in their blood🙂. Keep making your Dad proud!!!!!
